Fursuits are animal costumes associated with the furry fandom.

I've been fursuiting since Anthrocon 2002, where I wore a simple unicorn costume that I got at a thrift shop. Since then, I've acquired a small collection of fursuit characters.

I wear fursuits at:

• Furry conventions, mainly Anthrocon, Furfright, and FA: United.
• Mascot gigs organized by Hi-4.
• Local fur meets and events, e.g. Delaware Furbowl.

Why fursuit?

• Roleplay - It's a chance to not be myself and play another character for a while.
• Attention - Don't we all crave it?
• Entertainment - It's fun to entertain people at mascot gigs and always interesting to see their reactions.
• Camaraderie - There's something about shared suffering (heat, costume problems, etc) that unites people and I've made a bunch of friends through this activity.
